The Walk with Amal - Amal's 10th Birthday Party
Created by the acclaimed Handspring Puppet Company to represent all displaced children, Little Amal traveled over 8,000km, embodying the urgent message “Don’t forget about us”. I was fortunate to participate in her 10th birthday in London, where, after four weeks of rehearsal with over 50 volunteer performers, a mass dance piece was created and choreographed by Kenrick 'H2O' Sandy with music by Michael 'Mikey J' Asante. Our 20-minute performance, filled with both joyful and somber moments, concluded with interactive party games before the crowd joined us on stage in celebration.
